The journey so far

The concept of Focus Clamps was born out of a need for better efficiency and simplicity in machining.

We began with aluminum prototypes, utilizing the lightweight and versatile properties of 7075-T6 aluminum. After several iterations and improvements, trial and error with real-life testing at Focus, we’ve identified a few areas for improvement. “Give us more bite, please”.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve just completed the production of an upgraded version using 4140 steel.

Timeline

Conception and Design: Early 2022

Recognizing the need for efficient, modular clamping, we conceived and designed the initial prototypes of Focus Clamps.

First Prototypes and Testing (2022)

Created first prototypes using 7075-T6 aluminum, putting them through rigorous testing to gather feedback and identify areas of improvement.

Product Redesign (Early 2023)

Based on the feedback, we transitioned to 4140 heat-treated, stress-relieved steel for better performance and durability.

Beta Testing and Refinement (2023)

We’re gearing up for a beta testing program to gather final feedback and make the last refinements before the official product launch.

Beta Testing Program

As we move into the next phase of development, we’ll be offering you the chance to be part of our upcoming beta testing program.

This program will provide a select group of machinists with the opportunity to try out the Focus Clamps and provide us with valuable feedback to enhance the final product. Stay tuned!
